You sign up on the “Sign Up” page: pick your bookly.me/… address, enter your email and a password, and confirm the email with a 4-digit code. After that you get a 14-day Team trial with no card, then the free Basic plan.

This is the first of four getting-started steps: your account, your services, your working hours and your booking link. Signing up is free, and we don’t ask for a card. Use an email address you actually read: sign-in codes, password resets, email confirmations and payment emails go there, and they are always sent.

How to do it

  1. Open the “Sign Up” page and choose your page address — whatever comes after “bookly.me/”. When it’s free, you’ll see “Address is free” under the field.
  2. Enter your email and a password. The password needs at least 8 characters: upper and lower case, a number and a symbol.
  3. Open the email “Confirm your email to create your Bookly account” and enter the 4-digit code from it. The code is valid for 5 minutes.
  4. Done: your account is created, and your first page along with it. Bookly then asks a few questions and offers a guided tour — see First steps: setup and the guided tour.

The account only appears once you enter the code. If you close the page before that, nothing is created — just start again.

Next step: add your services.

With Google, Facebook or Apple

Instead of an email and a password, you can use “Log in with Google”, “Log in with Facebook” or “Log in with Apple”. Bookly then takes your email from that account.

Below the form are the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy — by continuing, you agree to them. Getting news from Bookly is a separate checkbox, and you can leave it unticked.

Your page address

The address is your bookly.me/… link — the one you’ll give to clients. The rules:

  • only lowercase Latin letters, digits and hyphens, starting with a letter or a digit;
  • 6 to 60 characters;
  • Bookly’s own service addresses are reserved.

You can change the address later in the page settings, but the old one then stops working — see Changing your page address and what happens to the old link.

Your trial

Once you sign up, you get 14 days of the Team plan, and no card is needed for it. “Plans & Billing” shows it like this: “Trial until …, then Basic. Your card is not charged.” When the trial ends, the account moves to the free Basic plan on its own. The plan choice in the setup after sign-up doesn’t change this: even with “Start with Free Plan”, the Team trial runs for 14 days. More in Free trial: 14 days of Team.

If something goes wrong

The email with the code doesn’t arrive

If you can’t find it, check your Spam folder. Typed the wrong email? Click “Change” next to “Wrong email address?”. You can ask for a new code once the “in … s” timer runs out — at most once every 60 seconds.

“Wrong code. Please try again.”

Check the digits. Each code allows 3 attempts and is valid for 5 minutes. If you’ve run out of attempts or time, ask for a new code.

“This email already has a Bookly account — log in instead.”

An account is already registered to this email: one email, one Bookly account. Log in to it — see how to sign in. Forgot the password? See how to reset it.

The address is taken or not allowed

  • “This address is already taken.” — pick another one, for example add your city or what you do.
  • “This address was just taken — pick another one.” — someone took it while you were signing up.
  • “Only lowercase Latin letters, digits and hyphens.” — remove capitals, spaces and non-Latin letters.
  • “The address must be at least 6 characters long.” — make it longer.
  • “This address isn’t available on the platform.” — it’s one of Bookly’s service addresses; choose another.

“Your registration session expired — please start over.”

Open the “Sign Up” page again and go through the steps from the start. No account is created before you enter the code, so nothing is lost.

“Registration is currently closed.”

Bookly sometimes closes open sign-up for a while. You can then join the early-access list: “We will let you know as soon as we open the platform.”

Signing up with a social account fails

  • “The provider did not share an email — sign in with email instead.” — sign up with your email and a password.
  • “Could not sign in with the social account — try again or use email.” — try once more or sign up with your email.

“We could not confirm you are human. Refresh the page and try again.”

Refresh the page and try again. If that doesn’t help, write to support. Write any time — we reply during working hours.
