Wallet business card

A card that lives in your phone and leads to a booking

Style a card for Apple Wallet on the “Digital cards” tab: a name, a job title, a background and a QR code with the permanent short address of your Bookly page. At a meeting you show the card, the client scans the code with the camera and books alone.

Where the card works

One card for every introduction

The card sits in Apple Wallet next to tickets and payment cards. You show it, the client scans the code with the camera and lands on your page.

At a forum or an introduction

Instead of a paper card, open the card in Wallet and let them scan the code. The person sees your page with the services at once, not a number they still have to save.

A walk-in client books alone

Someone walked in without a booking and there is no free time right now? They scan the code on the card, open the booking section on your page and pick a time themselves while you work.

Always at hand, no app

The card is added to Apple Wallet once and stays with you. The client installs nothing either: the QR code is read by the camera of any phone.

A permanent address, the QR never breaks

The code on the card leads to bkly.link, the page’s permanent short address. Change the page address in the settings and the card keeps opening it.

Card style

A card in your colours, with your contacts

In the “Card style” section you pick the “Generic” or “Store Card” type, enter the “Name on the card” and the “Job title”, set the “Background” and, for a “Store Card”, the “Banner”. The preview beside them shows the card as it will look in Wallet.

8 colours or your own

“Background”: “Graphite”, “Orange”, “Violet”, “Sky”, “Pink”, “Green”, “Cream”, “White” or any “Custom colour”. Bookly picks the text colour to match the brightness of the background.

One of five banners or the page photo

A “Store Card” carries a banner across its full width at the top: “Glow”, “Waves”, “Dots”, “Stripes”, “Mascot” or “Photo from page”, that is the cover or the avatar of your page.

Business contacts on the back

Switch on “Business contacts on the back”, and the back shows the name, the phones, the address and the map from the workspace profile in the CRM. A phone on the back dials straight from the card.

UTM tags in the QR address

The source, medium and campaign tags are added to the QR address automatically, and up to three of your own you add yourself. The tags travel to the page with the visit, so analytics connected to it sees that the client came from the card.

My Cards

Every card on one tab

On the “My Cards” tab every business card is a row: which page it is linked to, when it was created and what status it is in. The details card beside the list shows “Linked to”, “Created” and “Card ID”, and a card without a page is marked “No page linked”.

  • “Linked to”: the page and its short address
  • The statuses Active, Paused and Not Connected
  • A card without a page: “No page linked”
Share

The page QR code for print and stories

In the page editor press “Share” and open “Share QR code”: the code opens your page, and “Download QR code” saves it as a PNG file for a shop window, a price list or stories. In “Short Links” you create your own short addresses on bkly.link and see the “Clicks” of each.

  • “Download QR code” as a PNG
  • “Show profile picture” in the middle of the code on screen
  • “Short Links” with a “Clicks” counter
The introduction

An introduction ends in a booking, not a lost card

A paper card gets lost in a bag, while the card in Wallet opens in a second. The person scans the code, sees your page with the services and the free time, and books at once, while the conversation is still warm.

Everything a card is made of

Counts from the product’s code: the background palette, the ready banners of the banner card, two card types by the rules of Apple Wallet, and how long the link through which a phone fetches the card from a computer stays valid.

How to make a business card in Bookly?

Three steps from a page to a card people scan.

1

Pick the page

On the “Digital cards” tab, in the “Page” field, pick the page the card will open. Under the field is its permanent short address on bkly.link, the one the QR encodes.

2

Style the card

The “Generic” or “Store Card” type, the “Name on the card”, the “Job title”, the “Background” and the “Banner”. Switch on “Business contacts on the back” if you like.

3

Add it to Wallet and let people scan

Press “Add to Apple Wallet”. On an iPhone the add sheet opens at once; on a computer scan the code in the “Scan to add the card” window. Then simply show the card.

Frequently asked questions

In short, how the Wallet business card and the page QR code work in Bookly. If you have not found an answer, write to our team.

No. The QR code on the card is read by the camera of any phone, and the page opens in the browser: there the client sees the services and the free time and books. Neither the client nor you need an app: the card lives in Apple Wallet.

The client’s phone does not matter: the camera reads the code. If Android is yours, there is nowhere to add the card in Apple Wallet, so take the page QR code from the “Share” window: the “Download QR code” button saves it as a PNG file you can show from the phone or print.

Always: the link to the page and its handle (@address). With “Business contacts on the back” switched on, the business name, the phones, the address and the map link from the workspace profile in the CRM are added. From the back a phone dials and the address opens in Maps.

Nothing bad. The QR code on the card leads not to the page address but to its permanent short address on bkly.link, tied to the page itself. After the change the code is the same and opens the page at its new address. This holds for the card only: the QR code downloaded from the “Share” window encodes the current page address, so download it again after a change.

Yes. In the “Page” field you pick any of your pages, and each gets a card of its own with its own QR code and the handle under it. Every addition gives a separate card in Wallet, so cards for different pages live side by side. Cards for one page can be told apart by your own UTM tags, up to three.
