How a booking moves through the calendar

From its first appearance in the grid to the payment mark, a booking never leaves the calendar.

1

A booking appears

A client books on your Bookly page, or you select free time in the grid and choose “New booking”. Either way the card takes its place in the calendar.

2

You see it at once

An online booking lands in the open calendar without a page reload, and a notification with a sound leads straight to that card.

3

You move it and close it

Plans change, and you drag the card to a new time. After the visit you mark the payment in the same card: cash, card or terminal.

For everyday work

The whole team’s day at a glance

Who is booked, when and with whom is clear at first sight, and the schedule changes with a few moves of the mouse or a finger.

Day and week

Switch between “Day” and “Week” with one click. The week starts from yesterday, so recent visits stay in view.

The whole team in columns

“Group view” gives every specialist a column of their own for the day. Above it you see the working hours or a day off, and a full day is marked “Fully booked”.

Booking right in the grid

Select free time with the mouse and the frame shows its start and end. Then “New booking” or “Break time”. On a phone a tap on the slot is enough.

Online bookings live

A booking from your Bookly page appears in the open calendar by itself, and the notification comes with a sound and opens that very booking.

How many hours you see

The “Visible hours” slider sets how many hours fit on the screen. Two fingers on a trackpad or a phone do the same, and the calendar remembers the zoom.

Only the columns you need

Every column of the group view has a menu: “Hide from view” takes it off the screen, and “Edit schedule” leads to that specialist’s working hours.

On the phone

The calendar in the specialist’s pocket

In the mobile CRM the calendar has its own tab at the bottom of the screen. One specialist’s day fills the screen, the days switch on a strip above the tab bar, and the booking card opens as a sheet from below.

Book with one tap

Tap free time and the frame shows the slot. Choose “New booking” and the form opens with that time.

Move with a finger

Press and hold a card and it lifts. Drag it to another time and the calendar shows whether it is free.

Zoom with two fingers

Pinch to see more hours or bigger cards. The zoom you pick is kept.

The booking card

The sheet holds the client with their phone and email, the specialist, the “Summary” and “History” tabs, the status, the payment and the note.

Rescheduling

Drag a booking to a new time

Take the card and move it to another time or day. Over a taken slot “Time conflict!” appears and the card goes back where it was. Free time you confirm in a window with the old and the new time, and “Undo” lets you change your mind.

  • The new time shows while you drag the card
  • The old and the new time side by side before saving
  • On a phone a long press lifts the card

Status, payment and notes at hand

Click a booking and a panel opens at the side with the service, the total, the client’s contacts and the specialist. From here you change the status, mark the payment as cash, card or terminal and add a note with photos, such as “toner 8.1, 35 min”.

  • Status and payment change in two clicks
  • Up to 10 photos in a visit note
  • The client’s past visits on the “History” tab

One specialist, one time, one client

Before a booking is saved, Bookly checks that the specialist is free at that time. Bookings you create or move in the calendar and bookings that come online pass the same check. A taken time gets “Time conflict!” and the booking is not saved.

  • Online booking shows only free time and checks it again before saving.
  • Even two bookings made at the same moment never overlap.
  • A cancelled booking frees its time for another client at once.
The calendar in numbers

What one booking is made of

The view you see it in, the photos in the visit note and the payment status after it: the bounds the calendar takes from the product’s code.

Frequently asked questions

In short, how the calendar in the Bookly CRM works. If you have not found your answer, write to our team.

No. The calendar shows a day or a week, and on a wide screen the week view scrolls through up to four weeks in a row. There is no month grid.

The booking is not saved. Bookly checks the specialist’s time at the moment of saving, for bookings from the calendar and for online bookings alike, so overlaps do not get through even when two bookings arrive at once.

Yes. After a move a message appears with an “Undo” button, and the booking returns to its previous time.

A break closes that time for online booking: the client simply does not see it. Booking a client into a break by hand in the calendar is still possible.

Not yet. All bookings live in Bookly, and online bookings from your page land in the calendar by themselves.
