My page link doesn’t open

Most often the page address was changed or the page was deleted — then visitors see “This page went out for coffee and never came back.” Other causes: a switched-off block, a password or 18+ check on the link, a deactivated short link, or a suspended account.

Most often the page address was changed or the page was deleted — then visitors see “This page went out for coffee and never came back.” Other causes: a switched-off block, a password or 18+ check on the link, a deactivated short link, or a suspended account.

How to check

  1. Open the link yourself — in a private browser window or on someone else’s phone, the way your clients see it.
  2. Compare the address with the one in the page Settings → “Link URL & Domain” → “Page URL”.
  3. Find what you see below and follow the steps there.

If something goes wrong

“This page went out for coffee and never came back.” — the address changed

That’s the page for an address that doesn’t exist: a big “404”, this line and the “Take me back” and “Go home” buttons. Once the address changes, the old one stops working at once, and there’s no redirect. Put the new address in your bio, ads and websites, or switch back to the old one if nobody has taken it. Details in “Changing your page address and what happens to the old link”. Older links like bookly.me/p/address lead to bookly.me/address and keep working as long as the address stays the same.

The page was deleted

Visitors see the same “This page went out for coffee and never came back.” page. After deletion, the link stops working for good and the page can’t be restored. Create a new page and share its address.

A printed QR code doesn’t work

A QR code from “Share” contains the page address and breaks when the address changes. Download a new one: “Share” → “Share QR code” → “Download QR code”. The QR code on your Wallet card points to the permanent short address and doesn’t break.

The page opens, but a link is missing

The block is switched off in the editor, so visitors don’t see it. Turn its toggle back on. Check the tab, too: a block only shows on its own tab.

The short link is deactivated or deleted. A deactivated one can be turned back on in “Short Links” with “Activate”; a deleted one can’t be restored. More in “Short links (bkly.link)”.

The link asks for a password or an age check

The link has “Access password”, “Age verification” or “Sensitive content” turned on, so visitors see “This link is password protected”, “Confirm your age” or “The owner marked this link as sensitive. Open it?”. If you don’t need that, remove the requirement in the link settings — see “Link settings”.

Your dashboard says “Account suspended”

“You can view and export your data, but changes are unavailable. Contact support to restore access.” Write to us from the email your account is registered with. Write any time — we reply during working hours.

The page shows old content

The public page doesn’t update instantly: changes show up within a minute, occasionally up to 10 minutes. Design changes only reach the page after “Save”. If the editor says “Preview is offline for now”, reload the editor.
