In the page Settings → “SEO” you set the title and description shown in search results and messengers. There you can also hide the page from Google or stop other sites from embedding it.

How to do it

  1. Open the page in the editor and click “Settings” — the gear icon at the top.
  2. Go to “SEO”. On your phone it’s called “SEO & Share Preview”.
  3. Under “Custom metadata”, fill in “Page title” (up to 120 characters) and “Meta description” (up to 200 characters; up to 70 recommended).
  4. Under “Visibility”, turn on “Hide from search engines” or “Disallow embedding on other sites” if you need them.
  5. Under “Share link settings”, pick the color of the preview card people see in messengers and on social media.
  6. Click “Save”.

What the “Visibility” switches do

  • “Hide from search engines” — the page stays reachable by its link, but Google and other crawlers are asked not to index it.
  • “Disallow embedding on other sites” — nobody can place your page inside a frame on their own website.

Page language and time zone

“General” has “Page language” (English or Українська) and “Timezone”. The booking widget and the SMS codes your clients receive use the page language. Click “Save” after changing them.

If something goes wrong

The messenger still shows the old preview

Bookly warns about this: “Changes to metadata may take some time to appear on other platforms.” Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and others keep their own copy of a preview and refresh it later. Give it time — the new preview appears once the platform re-reads your page.

“Hide from search engines” asks search engines not to index the page, and they drop it from results gradually. The page itself still opens by its link — that’s intended. Check that the switch is on and that you clicked “Save”.
