There’s no separate “transfer account” button: the owner is whoever’s email is on the account. Change the account email to the new owner’s address and leave the plan and the card as they are: the new owner replaces the card with their own after the handover.

The account is handed over by its owner. An employee with “Full access” doesn’t become the owner: the plan and billing stay with the salon owner.

The plan, the saved card, your pages, bookings and team belong to the account, not to the email. After the email change everything keeps working as before — just for the new owner.

Before you hand it over

  1. Turn off two-factor authentication: Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication (2FA) → “Turn off”.
  2. Replace your phone number in My Profile with the new owner’s number.
  3. Disconnect your Google, Facebook and Apple accounts: Settings → Security → Connected accounts → “Disconnect”.
  4. Change the account type and company name if needed — here’s how.

Don’t remove the card

Without a card the subscription won’t renew: when the paid period ends, the salon moves to the free Basic plan and staff access to the CRM is paused. A subscription can’t be resumed without a card, and you can’t buy a new plan while the current subscription is still running. So leave the card in place — the new owner replaces it with their own.

How to hand it over

  1. Sit down with the new owner at one device and open Settings → Security → “Change email”.
  2. Type the new owner’s email in the “New email” field and click “Continue”.
  3. The code goes to the new owner’s email — let them enter it themselves on the “Verify your new email” screen.
  4. The new owner sets their own password: on the sign-in page, “Forgot your password or username?”, then the link in the email.
  5. Once signed in, the new owner opens Security on a computer and, under Active Sessions, clicks “Log out of all devices” — this signs the account out on your devices.

The card and payments after the handover

  • The new owner replaces your card with theirs: Settings → Plans & Billing → Manage subscription → “Update card”. Until they do, charges go to your card. Details: How to change or remove the card for your Bookly plan.
  • If the subscription is paid through plata by mono, the card can’t be replaced on its own. To move the payments to the new owner, write to support.
  • If the plan is paid by link (WayForPay), there’s no card on the account: each period is paid by link, so the new owner simply pays with their own card.
  • After the email change, Bookly’s payment emails go to the new owner. Receipts from the payment provider for renewals may still go to the email the plan was first paid from — to have them sent to the new owner, write to support.

If something goes wrong

No access to the old email

If you can’t sign in to the account, support can change the account email. Write to support. Write any time — we reply during working hours. Never send your password or codes: support doesn’t need them.

The card has already been removed

Then the subscription runs until the end of the paid period, and after that the salon moves to Basic. “Resume” won’t work without a card. When the period ends, the new owner buys the plan with their own card — we save the card when they pay. So that your team’s work isn’t interrupted, write to support before the paid period ends.

An admin with “Full access” wants to become the owner

An access level doesn’t make anyone the owner: the plan and billing stay with the salon owner. For the salon to pass to someone else, the owner hands the account over with the steps above.

The sign-in code always goes to your account email — even if you typed your username or phone number. Check your spam folder, wait a minute and request a new one; if that doesn't help, sign in with your password.

  • Too many attempts: why Bookly asks you to wait

After several mistakes in a row, Bookly briefly slows down sign-in, and the message on the screen tells you how long to wait. The pause always ends on its own, and the right password resets the count.
