Go to Settings → Security → Deactivate account and choose deactivation (you come back simply by signing in) or deletion. A paid plan ends at once with no refund, and a deleted account can still be restored through support for 30 days.

Both owners and salon staff can close their own account. What happens to the plan and the team depends on who closes the account and how.

How to do it

Before you close the account, export your data if you may still need it. And if you only want to stop paying and keep the account, cancel the subscription instead.

  1. Open Settings → Security and, in the Account removal block, click “Deactivate account”.
  2. In the “Deactivate your account” window, tick why you’re leaving.
  3. Under “What would you like to do?”, choose “Deactivate account” or “Delete account permanently” (on a phone, “Delete account”) and click the button at the bottom of the window.
  4. Type DEACTIVATE (to deactivate) or DELETE (to delete) in the field and confirm.

Either way, you’re signed out on all devices at once. If you see “We couldn’t close the account. Please try again.”, refresh the page and try again.

Deactivation

The account is switched off, but you can come back any time: just sign in again — with your password, an email code or Google, Facebook or Apple. You don’t need support for this.

Deletion

The window warns: “This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.” You indeed can’t undo the deletion yourself. But for 30 more days the account stays closed, and support can restore it. After that, the account and its data in the products are deleted for good.

What happens to your plan

  • When an owner closes the account — deactivates or deletes it — charges stop and saved cards are removed.
  • A paid subscription ends at once, and the salon moves to the free Basic plan. The rest of the paid period is not refunded.
  • A Team trial and a plan granted by the Bookly team carry on: the trial until its end date, the granted plan as before.
  • If you come back after deactivating, you set up the paid plan again.
  • Unused SMS from packs are lost when the account is deleted.

What happens to your team

  • The owner deactivated the account — the paid plan ended, the salon moved to Basic, and staff access to the CRM is paused. Staff keep working only while a Team trial or a plan granted by the Bookly team is running.
  • The owner deleted the account — staff accounts are closed together with the salon.

How staff get their access back once the owner is on Team again: The salon’s plan doesn’t include staff access to the CRM.

If you’re a salon employee

The window warns: “Your account will be deactivated and your access to the salon’s CRM will be turned off. Signing back in restores the account, but the salon owner has to turn your access back on.” Your access to the salon’s CRM is turned off at once.

If something goes wrong

“You closed your account, so your access to the salon’s CRM was turned off.”

In full: “You closed your account, so your access to the salon’s CRM was turned off. Ask the salon owner to turn it back on.” Signing in has already brought your account back, but access to the salon’s CRM is turned on by the owner — ask them to do it.

“The salon no longer works on Bookly, so its CRM is closed.”

The salon owner deleted their account, and staff accounts were closed together with the salon. Contact the salon owner.
