The salon’s plan doesn’t include staff access to the CRM

Staff can sign in to the CRM only on the Team plan. When the Team trial ends or the salon moves to another plan, their access is paused, and it comes back by itself once Team is paid for.

Staff can sign in to the CRM only on the Team plan. When the Team trial ends or the salon moves to another plan, their access is paused, and it comes back by itself once Team is paid for.

Who can do this and on which plan

  • Staff sign in to the CRM only on the Team plan. Team includes 3 staff members (the card marked «Admin» doesn’t count). Every staff card that isn’t archived takes a seat — with or without a CRM sign-in. On Pro and Basic, staff don’t sign in to the CRM.
  • Only the salon owner can bring access back, by switching to Team and paying for it. An employee can’t do this.

Why access is paused

  • The Team trial ended and the salon moved to the free Basic plan.
  • Team wasn’t paid for, and after 7 days of grace the salon moved to Basic.
  • The owner switched from Team to another plan.
  • The owner deactivated their account: the paid plan ended at once and the salon moved to Basic.

Staff cards and their bookings stay where they are: access is only paused.

How to bring access back

The salon owner does this.

  1. The salon owner opens the account settings → “Plans & Billing”.
  2. Chooses Team and pays for it — see How to pay for a plan.
  3. Staff access comes back by itself, with no new invitation. The employee just presses “Check again” or reloads the page.

If something doesn’t work

“Access paused”

In the CRM the employee sees: “The salon’s plan does not include staff access to the CRM. Ask the salon owner to switch to the Team plan, and access comes back by itself.” On the sign-in or invitation page the same state reads: “Staff access is paused” — “The salon’s plan no longer includes staff access to the CRM — contact the salon owner.”

On the staff card the owner sees a “Paused” badge and the line “Paused: the salon’s plan does not include staff access to the CRM”.

What to do: employees tell the salon owner; the owner switches to Team (steps above).

“Your CRM access is turned off”

“Your access to the salon’s CRM was turned off or has not been given yet. Ask the salon owner to turn it on, then press “Check again”. If access is back on, you may need to sign in again.” On the sign-in page: “Your access to the salon’s CRM was turned off. If this is a mistake, contact the salon owner.”

This isn’t about the plan: the owner turned off access on your card, or hasn’t turned it on yet. Ask the salon owner to turn on “CRM access” on your card, then press “Check again” or sign in again.

If you closed your Bookly account at some point, you’ll see: “You closed your account, so your access to the salon’s CRM was turned off. Ask the salon owner to turn it back on.” The fix is the same.

“Staff sign-in is paused for now”

“Signing in to staff accounts is temporarily unavailable. Your account and your access to the salon are kept — please try again a little later.” Bookly has paused sign-in for all staff accounts, not just at your salon. There’s nothing to do — try again a little later.

“The salon is unavailable”

“The salon no longer works on Bookly, so its CRM is closed.” You can’t sign in to this salon’s CRM any more. Contact the salon directly with any questions.

  • The CRM is view-only: why and what to do

The CRM turns view-only when your plan couldn’t be checked, the account is suspended, or the salon’s plan has no CRM — Basic, Pro and Team all include it, so that only happens with a plan set up by the Bookly team. On Basic the CRM works, with Basic’s limits.

  • An employee leaves: turn off access, archive or delete

Turn off the employee’s CRM access: they lose it at once on every device. A card with bookings or payroll history isn’t deleted but archived, so the history stays and the card no longer takes a seat.
