With autopay (plata by mono), Bookly charges your card at the end of each period. With pay by link (WayForPay), nothing is charged: the link comes by email 3 days before the period ends and on its last day.

You can see which one you have in the “Plans & Billing” tab: “Next charge {date} — {amount}” means autopay, “Next payment {date} — {amount}” means pay by link.

Autopay (plata by mono)

  • Bookly charges your saved card 2 hours before the paid period ends. That’s why your bank may show the charge a day earlier than you expected.
  • For a yearly plan, a “Your subscription renews soon” email comes 7 days before the charge.
  • If your card is about to expire, a “Your card expires soon” email comes 30 days before.
  • After every payment you get a “Payment received” email with the period, the card and a link to the receipt.
  • You can turn auto-renewal off at any time — see How to cancel or resume your subscription.
  • We never charge you ourselves. 3 days before the paid period ends, we send a “Pay for your next Bookly period by {date}” email with a “Pay now” button.
  • On the last day of the period, another email comes: “Your paid Bookly period ends today”.
  • Meanwhile, the “Plans & Billing” tab shows “Pay for the next period by {date}: {amount}” and a “Pay” button.
  • Until the link for the next period is paid, you can’t change the plan or the number of seats — pay it first.

Will the price change?

The price is fixed when you pay and stays the same on renewal until you change the plan or the period. We can only change the price of an active subscription from the next period, and we’ll email you at least 30 days before.

How to do it

To pay for the next period by link:

  1. Open the “Pay for your next Bookly period by {date}” email and choose “Pay now”. Or open “Settings” → “Plans & Billing” and choose “Pay” or “Pay now”.
  2. Pay on the WayForPay page.
  3. Once paid, you get a “Payment received” email, and the “Plans & Billing” tab shows the date of your next payment.

If something doesn’t work

Why wasn’t I charged automatically?

If your subscription is paid through WayForPay, there are no automatic charges: each period is paid by link. If you’re on autopay and the charge failed, the plan stays on for 7 more days — see Your Bookly plan payment failed: retries, 7 days of access and 3-D Secure.

I was charged before the date

Autopay charges 2 hours before the period ends, so the bank may date it a day earlier. More in Two charges or an unfamiliar charge from Bookly.

“The payment for the next period is being prepared…”

Until the link for the next period is paid, you can’t change the plan or seats. Pay for the next period, then change the plan — see Payment errors.

If a charge for your Bookly plan fails, the plan stays on for 7 more days, and Bookly tries the charge again on day 1, 3 and 5. Pay with the “Pay” button in the “Plans & Billing” tab; without a payment the salon moves to Basic, and your data stays.

  • Two charges or an unfamiliar charge from Bookly

Most often it’s a separate payment for extra Team seats, a top-up for moving to a higher plan, or a payment that is still processing. Check it in “Plans & Billing” → “Payments & documents”; if you really were charged twice, write to us and we’ll refund it.
