How to change your plan or billing period

A higher plan starts right away: you only pay for the days left. A lower plan or a new billing period (month ↔ year) starts with your next payment, and nothing is charged today.

A higher plan starts right away: you only pay for the days left. A lower plan or a new billing period (month ↔ year) starts with your next payment, and nothing is charged today.

Who can do this: the salon’s account owner. If you don’t have a paid plan yet, see How to pay for your Bookly plan: country and payment method.

How to do it

  1. Open “Settings” → “Plans & Billing” → “Manage subscription” → “Change plan”. To move to a higher plan straight away, you can also use “Upgrade plan”.
  2. Pick a plan and a period — your current one is marked “Current”.
  3. On the “Change plan” screen, check the amount and the date, and tick the box to agree to the offer.
  4. Choose “Pay” (if there’s something to pay) or “Confirm” (when nothing is charged today).

A higher plan starts right away

Moving to a higher plan without changing the period takes effect at once. For the time left until the end of the paid period, you pay the difference pro rata — the screen shows “Top-up for the N days left”. We don’t charge a top-up under 1 hryvnia. The next payment at the new plan’s price is shown on the same screen.

A lower plan or another period starts with the next payment

Moving to a lower plan, removing seats and any change of period (including monthly to yearly) take effect from the next billing period. The screen says: “The change starts on {date}. Nothing is charged today.” Until then your current plan keeps working, and “Manage subscription” shows “From {date}: {plan}, {period}”.

Team staff seats are removed on the “Staff” page in the CRM — see Paying for extra Team seats.

When you can’t change the plan

  • While the link for the next period is unpaid: “The payment for the next period is being prepared. You can change the plan or seats after it.” Pay it first.
  • While the previous payment is processing: “The previous payment is still processing. Wait a minute.”
  • While a payment has failed — pay first with the “Pay” button.
  • While the subscription is cancelled — choose “Resume” first.
  • If you picked the same plan and period you already have.
  • If your plan was granted by the administrator: “The administrator granted this plan. To change it, write to support.”

What each message means and what to do is in Bookly plan payment errors: what each one means.

If something doesn’t work

“The price was updated. Check the amount and confirm again.”

The amount on the confirmation screen is valid for 15 minutes. Check the new amount and confirm again.

Will my data change?

No. Your bookings, clients and settings stay; only the features that are switched on change. After moving to a lower plan, its limits apply.

  • Paying for extra Team seats

A new seat is first paid pro rata until the end of the current billing month, then monthly together with your plan. On a yearly Team plan, seats are billed separately every month; unpaid seats are turned off after 7 days, and the plan carries on.

Paid plans come with a monthly SMS limit that renews on the 1st. If that’s not enough, buy a pack in “Plans & Billing” → “Buy SMS package”: SMS from a pack don’t expire.
