The “Forms” tab adds a request form with your own fields to your page. Each submitted form becomes a lead in “Leads”, and any files sent with it are kept with the request.

How to do it

  1. In the page editor, click “+” next to the tab switcher and turn on “Forms”.
  2. Under “Create your first form”, pick a template: “SMS sign-up”, “Email sign-up” or “Custom Form”.
  3. On the “Details” tab, set the “Form Title”, a description and the fields. “Add field” offers “Short Answer”, “Long Answer”, “Phone number”, “Single choice”, “Multiple choice”, “Date”, “Rating” and “File Upload”. Mark the fields you need as “Required”.
  4. On the “Settings” tab, choose “Accept new responses”, “Activity notifications”, a “Response limit” (“Unlimited responses”, “One response per person” or “Set a response limit”) and “Form availability” (“Always available” or “Set start and end date”).

“Add form” puts another form on the same tab. Every submitted form appears in “Leads” with the “Form” type. In “Analytics”, a form’s visitors are the people who opened the form itself, not the whole page.

If something goes wrong

Visitors see “This form is not accepting submissions right now.”

Most often “Accept new responses” is off: the form is visible, but it can’t be sent. Turn the switch on in the form’s “Settings” tab. Also check “Form availability” and “Response limit”. One address can send a form up to 5 times a minute.

“No fields added yet” instead of the form

The form has no fields: “Add your first field to see how your form will look”. Open the form and click “Add field”.

“Could not save the form. Try again”

Your changes weren’t saved. Check your connection and try again.

There’s no “Forms” in the “+” menu
