Bookly sends SMS codes for signing in with 2FA and for confirming a client’s number in the booking widget. Automatic SMS to clients — confirmations, reminders and reschedule notices — are switched on in the widget, with templates and a log in the CRM → Workspace → SMS Center.

Who can use it and on which plan

The SMS Center is open to the owner and to staff with “Full access”. Paid plans include SMS for your clients every month, and the trial after sign-up has 10 SMS for the whole trial. If you run short, buy a pack.

SMS codes

  • 4-digit codes are sent for signing in with two-factor authentication (SMS 2FA), for confirming the phone number in your profile and for confirming a client’s number when they book online.
  • Codes go only to Ukrainian numbers (+380).
  • Bookly pays for these SMS: they don’t come out of the salon’s SMS balance.
  • Clients of one salon get up to 100 codes a day; one client number gets up to 3 codes an hour and 6 a day.

The SMS Center: automatic SMS to clients

The CRM → Workspace → SMS Center holds the automatic SMS to your clients: booking confirmations, visit reminders and reschedule notices.

  • Notifications — SMS sent on their own when a booking is created, moved or coming up.
  • SMS Templates — message texts with the client’s name, date and time filled in.
  • SMS Logs — every message sent, with its delivery status.

SMS to clients come out of the salon’s SMS balance. Which messages a client gets is decided only by the switches in the booking widget: the Booking tab → Communication. The SMS Center has no switches — it shows the templates and the log.

Automations

In the CRM → Workspace → Rules → Automations you build rules of your own: when a booking is created, starts or ends, check conditions and let the system act — for example send a reminder or mark a no-show. Each rule is made of When, If and Do.

How to do it

  1. In the CRM, open Workspace → SMS Center.
  2. The Notifications tab holds the SMS that go out by themselves: after a booking is made, after it is moved and before the visit.
  3. The SMS Templates tab holds the texts of those SMS, with the client’s name, date and time.
  4. The SMS Logs tab shows what was sent, when, and whether it was delivered.
  5. Check your balance in Settings → Plans & Billing → SMS Credits.

On a phone: More in the bottom bar → Workspace → SMS Templates — that is what the phone calls the SMS Center.

Your SMS balance

The balance is in Settings → Plans & Billing → SMS Credits: how many SMS are used out of those available. It is made of the SMS your paid plan includes each month plus the SMS from packs you bought.

SMS packs

Packs are bought in the same place: “Buy SMS package” — 500, 1,000 or 5,000 SMS, or any amount you choose. “SMS are added instantly to your balance after purchase.” More in SMS in your plan and SMS packs.

If something goes wrong

A client doesn’t get the SMS code when booking

A client says the reminder didn’t arrive

Open SMS Center → SMS Logs: it shows whether the message was sent and delivered. Also check that there are SMS on your balance.
