The notification bell: what arrives and turning on sound

The bell in the menu shows one notification feed for the CRM and Multilink: new online bookings, reviews, plan limits and booking changes. If there is no sound, click “Turn on” — the browser blocks sound until you allow it.

Where to find notifications

  • On a computer — the Notifications block with a bell in the left menu; the red number shows how many are unread.
  • On a phone — the bell at the top of the Calendar screen in the CRM or of the home screen in Multilink; notifications open full screen.

There is one feed for all products of your account. The tabs are All, Activity, Messages and System; notifications are grouped into Today, Yesterday and Earlier.

What arrives

To the owner:

  • a new online booking — with a sound and a link to the booking in the calendar: “New booking — the client is waiting for confirmation” or “New booking”;
  • a new review: “New review — waiting for your approval”;
  • the Basic booking limit: when 24 of the month’s 30 bookings are used, and when a client couldn’t book because the limit ran out;
  • a change to a staff member’s access level made by someone with “Full access”;
  • Bookly news: “What’s new · …”.

To a staff member who signs in to the CRM — about bookings in their column that someone else made or changed: a new booking (with a sound), “A booking was handed over to you”, “Your booking was handed over to another staff member”, “Booking rescheduled”, “Booking cancelled”, “Booking declined automatically: it was not confirmed in time”, “Booking restored”.

Nobody is notified about their own actions. The owner isn’t notified about bookings that they or their staff created in the CRM — only about clients’ online bookings.

How to do it

  1. Open Notifications.
  2. Click a notification — it is marked as read. A new-booking notification takes you to that booking in the calendar.
  3. To clear all unread at once, click “Mark all as read”.

If something goes wrong

No sound: “The browser muted notification sounds”

The browser doesn’t let a page play sound until you allow it. Click “Turn on” next to that line. Also check that sound isn’t muted on the device itself.

I don’t get notified about bookings

  • The owner is notified about clients’ online bookings; bookings created in the CRM don’t send notifications.
  • A staff member is notified only about bookings in their column that someone else made or changed, and only if they sign in to the CRM.
  • A booking that wasn’t confirmed in time is declined by itself — see Why unconfirmed bookings are declined automatically.
